Quitting Smoking Can Be Easier Than You Thought

Hey,

We all know that smoking can kill - it's been talked about
long enough that we're aware of that. Just because we
know that doesn't make quitting any easier.

Here are a few tips that you can use to quell the need to
smoke and make those first few weeks a little easier.

*Set a definitive "stop date"
You've made the decision to quit. Great. Now what? You
need to set a date to absolutely stop.

By setting something definite, you're giving your brain a
certain signal that it's time to change. This little step may
seem insignificant, but just give it a shot. You'll see how
important it really is.

*Get support
Getting support can be just the thing you need to break
the habit. Whether it's family, friends, or a group, having
others that you're accountable really does the trick,

*See a specialist
There are a number of people in your area that will specialize
in this type of treatment. Whether you see a doctor, hypnotist,
or use a telephone-based program, just making the effort to
see someone could be the tipping point for you. Remember,
every effort you make is simply one more step towards quitting.

*Forgive yourself
Even if you relapse, know that it's ok. You're human and just
because you weren't able to do it last time doesn't mean you
can't this time. It's all about taking steps towards a better life,
and each step counts.

I wish you the best of luck if you're quitting smoking. It can be
a long, hard road for some.

Talk to you next week!
